Step One Warming-up (Module task)
1. Tell how to talk about a person
Start: something about his/her life … was born…lived…worked…
Middle: what he/she did When he/she was 25,he/she… In 1975he/she…
End: why you like him/her I think he/she is great because…
2. Students give a talk about hero in the front of the blackboard
Step Two To learn about Mother Teresa (Around the world)
1. Students read the pa age and ask and a wer questio in pairs.
1) When was she born? She was born in 1910.
2) When did she start to work as a teacher? She started to work as a teacher in 1928.
3) Who did she help? She helped sick people.
4) How old was she when she died? She died at the age of 87.
2. Students read it aloud.
3. Detail explanation:
1) travel to India = go to India
2) as (prep.) 作为
e.g: We must work hard as a student. 作为学生,我们必须努力学习。
My brother works in Beijing as a teacher. 我哥哥在北京当老师。
3) sick people = people who are ill
4. Students give a talk about Mother Teresa in grou of four.
